# Video Script: "Managing Exercises in the Portal"

*Estimated length: ~2.5–3 minutes*

**[SCENE 1 — Intro]**
*(On screen: WordPress dashboard, logged in as admin)*

> "Hi! This quick video shows you how to add, update, or remove an exercise from the Exercise Portal. It only takes a couple of minutes, and there's no coding involved — everything happens right here in the WordPress dashboard."

**[SCENE 2 — Finding the Exercises section]**
*(Click on "Exercises" in the left-hand admin menu — heart icon)*

> "On the left sidebar, look for **Exercises** — it has a little heart icon. Click on it, and you'll see a list of every exercise currently in the portal, along with whether it's published or still a draft."

**[SCENE 3 — Adding a new exercise]**
*(Click "Add New")*

> "To add a brand-new exercise, click **Add New** at the top."

*(Type a title, e.g. "Tongue Trace & Point")*

> "First, give it a title — this is the name clients will see."

*(Scroll to the Exercise Details box)*

> "Below that is the **Exercise Details** box. Here's what to fill in:
> - **Category** — choose from the dropdown: Lips and Cheeks, Tongue and Swallowing, Speech, or Breathing and Posture.
> - **Short Description** — a sentence or two explaining the exercise and any materials needed, like 'requires a small mirror.'
> - **Exercise Image** — click **Choose Image** to pick a photo from the media library, or upload a new one.
> - **Video** — click **Select from Media Library** to pick an uploaded video, or paste a video link directly into the box."

*(Click "Publish" button, top right)*

> "Once everything looks good, click the blue **Publish** button on the right. That's it — the exercise is now live on the portal."

> "Tip: if you're not ready for clients to see it yet, click **Save Draft** instead of Publish. It'll stay hidden until you come back and publish it."

**[SCENE 4 — Updating an existing exercise]**
*(Go back to Exercises list, click on an exercise title)*

> "To update an exercise that already exists, go back to the Exercises list and click on its title to open it. Make your changes — maybe a new description or a different video — the same way you did when adding it."

*(Click "Update" button)*

> "When you're done, click the **Update** button in the same spot where Publish used to be. Your changes save immediately."

**[SCENE 5 — Deleting an exercise]**
*(Hover over an exercise title in the list — show the Trash link appear)*

> "To remove an exercise, go to the Exercises list, hover your mouse over the one you want to delete, and a **Trash** link will appear underneath the title. Click it."

> "This moves the exercise to the Trash — it won't show up on the portal anymore, but it's not permanently gone yet, just in case you change your mind."

*(Optional: click into Trash, show "Delete Permanently")*

> "If you want to remove it for good, click **Trash** at the top of the Exercises list, find it there, and click **Delete Permanently**."

**[SCENE 6 — Outro]**

> "And that's it — adding, updating, and deleting exercises all happens right from that one Exercises menu. If you ever get stuck, just come back and rewatch this video."

## Production notes

- Categories are fixed to these 4 exact values (typos will leave an exercise miscategorized): Lips and Cheeks, Tongue and Swallowing, Speech, Breathing and Posture.
- No taxonomy/tags — category is a simple dropdown meta field, so screen-recording the dropdown open is the clearest visual.
- Worth calling out on-screen (text overlay, not necessarily narrated): Publish vs. Save Draft, since several current exercises are sitting in Draft status.
