Empowering Families. Elevating Clinicians.
32 Years of Expertise Behind Every Step.
I'm Kaye Baumgardner — SLP, orofacial myologist, infant feeding expert, lactation counselor, and business mentor. Whether you're a family seeking answers or a clinician ready to grow, I'm here to guide you.
Hi, I'm Kaye Baumgardner — a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist across 4 states, orofacial myologist, infant feeding expert, certified lactation counselor, and certified infant massage coach with over 32 years of experience helping people communicate, connect, and thrive.
My career has never looked the same twice — and that is exactly how I like it. I started my career in Illinois focusing on medically complex and fragile pediatric clients in a private practice outpatient setting and in a hospital acute care, PICU and NICU.
After building a strong foundation in Illinois, I was ready to take my skills on the road. I moved to the East Coast where I provided short term speech-language therapy in schools, clinics, hospitals, and nursing homes. That experience taught me to adapt quickly, think creatively, and meet clients exactly where they are — skills I carry with me every single day.
I then had the extraordinary opportunity to serve as a speech-language pathology consultant in Germany, providing therapy to children of U.S. military families. Working with families navigating the challenges of military life — far from home, often mid-transition — deepened my understanding of resilience and reinforced my belief that access to excellent care should know no borders.
Those years of diverse, real-world experience laid the foundation for the specialties that define my practice today. As early as 2000, I began seeing clients for myofunctional therapy — long before it became the widely recognized field it is now. That early commitment reflects my instinct for identifying what matters most to the people I serve. In 2014, I became the second person in the state of Minnesota to earn certification as an orofacial myologist — a credential that reflects my deep commitment to staying at the leading edge of our field.
Since 2004, I have built and grown a private practice grounded in one belief: every individual deserves expert, compassionate care — and every professional deserves a mentor who truly gets it. From helping infants with feeding challenges to eliminating thumb sucking habits to guiding children and adults toward accurate breathing and swallowing — this breadth of real-world experience is what grounds my mentorship and coaching in practice, not theory alone. Whether you are a parent seeking answers, a clinician ready to expand your skills, or a healthcare entrepreneur building your dream practice, you have come to the right place.
I am here for you.
